Our Parish
Saint Mary of Sorrows is a vibrant Roman Catholic parish serving the Fairfax, Virginia community since 1858. We are a welcoming community of faith dedicated to worship, service, and the love of Christ.
Our parish is blessed with a rich history — our Historic Church served as a field hospital during the Civil War, and Clara Barton nursed the wounded here, an experience that directly inspired her to found the American Red Cross.
A parish family rooted in faith and service since 1858.
Beautiful worship with an outstanding music ministry.
Serving those in need through our many outreach programs.
Religious education for all ages, youth ministry, and OCIA.
